Alois and Heide Fritz take over the butcher shop. Alois Fritz opens the hotel "Zum Löwen" and integrates the livestock company at the same time.

Sale of the hotel "Zum Löwen" and foundation of Fritz Vieh- und Fleischhandels GmbH

Gerhard Fritz takes over Fritz Vieh- und Fleischhandels GmbH. The takeover of the company results in a re-orientation of business operations. Trade in livestock ceases. Gerhard Fritz specialises in various trade operations with fresh and frozen beef.

A new branch is opened in Pulheim Brauweiler, just outside Cologne. Gerhard Fritz reoirientates business operations and begins buildiung up an internationally active firm. Over the years, the product range is supplemented by pork, lamb, poultry, veal, young bull meat, and game. The distribution area is expanded to cover Germany, Austria and the Benelux countries. The import of fish, seafood and beef from South America is stepped up and constantly improved.

Mario Fritz graduates as a Bachelor of Arts after a cooperative study programme. Today, he is on the Board of Directors.

A production facility near Düsseldorf is taken over and simultaneously re-branded as Fleischland Hilker GmbH. Processing, the production of our own products, fine-cutting and individual packaging according to customer requests now all fall under our own management.
